Service Tips and Trouble Shooting

Trouble: Oil leaking out front of barfeed.
Cause: A.  Air in system: Check oil level.
B.  Pressure to high: Max pressure 30 psi
C.  Oil Viscosity too low: Replace oil
Viscosity Check: You Can Now Order a Tester for $35.00 By Calling SPEGO
Trouble: Machine tool will not run, barfeed alarm.
Cause A.  Prox 1 (safety): move guide cover fully forward.
B.  Overload on reversing starter tripped: reset
C.  SR relay/Prox 1 defective:  replace
Trouble: Barfeed vibrating.
Cause: A.  Vibration, unless excessive, will not harm barfeed or spindle.
B.  Bar not straight: replace or lower RPM
C.  Hydraulic fluid to light viscosity: replace with ISO 100 or 150.
D.  Improper spindle liner size; use correct liner.
E.  Barfeed out of alignment: re-align.
F.  Bar feeder out of alignment: re-align.
Trouble Pusher will not keep up with bar stock.
Cause: Speed control not open enough:  open CCW.
NOTE:  speed control fully open for Z-SORB!!!!
